HortPark
As the sun shone bright on a Friday, 3 November 2017, our working team huddled hurriedly to set up the Competition site for the inaugural “Designing with Edibles” Competition, jointly organised with National Parks Board as part of the Community Garden Festival 2017 held at HortPark till 5 November 2017. 28 competitors, aged 16 to 62 years, took the challenge in the Table Centrepiece and Hand Bouquet categories. Competitors had to create their designs with the vegetables and fruits provided within one hour. CHRISTOPHER LIM AIFD, RONA EE AIFD and ALAN TAN (Chairman, LIAS) had the unenviable task of judging the masterpieces. Finally, SERENE TAN HIANG LING emerged as the winner in the Table Centrepiece category whilst CHIA MAY CAY clinched the 1st place in the Hand Bouquet category.
