Flower Forms

Observe flower forms, i.e. the shapes of floral material (flowers, foliage, plant etc.) and classify them according to their shape and function in a design.
The order of flower form classification is an essential tool for floral designers to select and compose design to a desired outcome.
The four flower forms are LINE, FORM, MASS and FILLER.
Examples of LINE: Gladiolus, Liatris, Matthiola
Examples of FORM: Strelitzia, Iris, Protea
Examples of MASS: Rose, Carnation, Gerbera
Examples of FILLER: Gypsophila, Aster, Limonium
